Opto-numerical phase detection : M1/M2 Internship position
This internship focuses on the study of a promising free-space optical communication architecture for satellite links.
This architecture, which uses opto-digital detection of the phase of lasers, should make it possible to considerably increase the transfer rates despite the high losses linked to propagation in the air. The optical part of the internship being completely mastered by our research team, the intern will focus in particular on the development of digital information processing which will be carried out on an FPGA platform. Our research team has already worked on FPGAs and we would like to recruit an intern with knowledge of these platforms and who will carry out the development and proof of principle of the method. If interested, the intern may participate in the industrial development of this work which may lead to publication or industrial protection.
